Bay Area Environmental Health Collaborative

The Bay Area Environmental Health Collaborative (BAEHC) is a broad partnership among six coalitions and numerous organizations working to protect public health in communities heavily impacted by air pollution.

CUMULATIVE IMPACT MAPS & POWERPOINTS

These maps show the buildup of air pollution sources, showing how these are related to the racial demographics in the Bay Area. The Powerpoint templates are customizable presentations to be used in conjunction with the Pop Ed Curriculum.

Cumulative Impact Maps

There are region-wide maps for the entire Bay Area and area maps for West Contra Costa County, the northern East Bay along the 880 freeway, and
Southeast San Francisco.

You should download the regional maps and the maps that apply to your area. The maps marked cumulative maps that build on the previous one must be used as a set, which means they should be used one after the other to convey the concept of cumulative impacts - the impacts on a community of the sum of all stressors experienced including multiple toxic pollution sources (mobile and stationary); unhealthy, unsafe, and poorly maintained housing; noises; lack of jobs; gentrification; etc.
